I managed this study from its earliest stages, conducting site investigations and needs assessments, coordinating consultants and 3rd party studies, and generating and publishing all documents both digitally and in print. This project involved interfacing with and coordinating multiple federal agencies including the General Services Administration, US Marshals Service, US Department of Justice, US District Courts, US Probation, US Pretrial Services, US Bankruptcy Court, and the US Postal Service.

A Framework for Growth

The masterplan and programming document generated for Escuela del Sol and Harwood Art Center covers project enrollment numbers forward five years, analyzing how best to fit that ideal enrollment into existing facilities, determining what new facilities are required, and what renovations need to be done to existing facilities. Documentation for this project included space data sheets, cost estimates, phasing diagrams and case studies.

This massive undertaking took the combined effort of a large team. I assisted in editorial work on the document, graphics generation, and stakeholder meeting presentations.

Making Art Accessible

The programming and masterplan for the Albuquerque Museum Foundation was intended not just to carve out space in the building for early childhood classes, but also to activate an under-utilized sculpture garden and revitalize the connections between the museum and Old Town. After several public design charrets in the lobby of the museum we generated a schematic plan that involved lifting new program to the second floor in order to preserve as much outdoor area for sculpture as possible.

The entire team was directly involved in interfacing with stakeholders and the public. I lead the charge on digital modeling and assisted with physical models, renderings, and cost estimates.
