I managed 6 projects for the GSA while working at Sam Sterling Architecture. (3) design projects, (2) construction administration projects, and (1) feasibility study and assisted in the design and construction administration of several others.

These projects involved interfacing with tenant government agencies including:

The US Marshals Service, US District Courts, US Bankruptcy Courts, US Postal Service, US Probation Courts, Pretrial services, the Bureau of Land Management, Customs and Border Patrol, and the Food and Drug administration

I have managed numerous small renovations, tenant improvements, and systems upgrade projects for Sandia National Laboratories at both their Albuquerque and Livermore campuses as well as assisting in design and documentation for (4) new construction projects.

Multi-Use Housing

The renovations to the late 19th century theater building at Coal and 2nd street are part of a masterplan to develop two adjacent lots next to the railroad tracks. When complete the Orpheum Community Hub will house the new headquarters for the affordable housing non-profit Homewise, apartments on the second and third floors, and a black box theater and teaching space.

Playing a secondary roll in the master planning phase I and my co-pm managed the project through all phases of design and construction administration.

Space to Let your Hair Down

This new addition to Betty’s enables couples treatments, bridal parties, and other group bookings. The space includes a treatment room, a lounge, a steam shower, and an exterior patio screened from the street. Due to the quiet, individual experience of the rest of the spa acoustical separation was extremely important for this project.

I assisted with the production of drawings at all phases and wrote technical specifications for the project.

East Mountain Transfer Station

East Mountain Transfer Center Office

Replacing an existing single-wide trailer the new office for the Bernalillo County East Mountain Transfer Center consists of a break room / training area, the overseers office, and a vehicle maintenance area.

Although I had no hand in managing this project I was heavily involved in design and documentation throughout the process.
